Murgh Nizami


Murgh Nizami, a traditional dish, very easy to cook and has great taste.

Ingredients:

  • 200 gms boneless chicken, cubed
  • 100 gms julienned onion
  • 4-5 green chillies, finely chopped
  • 2 tbsp ginger-garlic paste
  • Salt, to taste
  • 2 tbsp yoghurt, whisked
  • 1 tsp garam masala
  • 1 tbsp crushed cashew nuts
  • 1 tbsp lemon juice
  • 1 tbsp coconut powder
  • Coriander leaves, as required
  • 40 ml oil
  • 1 tsp cumin seeds

Method:
Heat oil in a saucepan and splutter cumin seeds. Add onion and green chilli and sauté till golden brown. Add ginger- garlic paste and chicken. Then add all the ingredients, except yoghurt, grated coconut, cashew nuts and coriander leaves. Stir well till the chicken is almost cooked. Finally add yoghurt and crushed cashew nut. Mix well till the gravy gets a creamy consistency.Garnish with coriander and serve with chapattis.
