Murg Kadai
Murg Kadai, one of the most famous murg dishes for all occasions.
Ingredients
- 80 gms butter
- 120 ml oil
- 10 gms cumin seeds
- 200 gms sliced onion
- 40 gms ginger paste
- 20 gms garlic paste
- 500 gms sliced tomato
- 30 gms chilli powder
- 25 gms turmeric powder
- 20 gms garam masala powder
- 1 kg chicken, cut into cubes
- 15 gms salt
- 200 gms sliced green pepper
- 60 ml cream
- Chopped coriander and jullenned ginger, for garnishing
Method
Melt butter and oil together in a wok and splutter cumin. Add onion and saute until soft and golden brown. Add ginger and garlic pastes. Stir and add
tomato and all spice powders. Add chicken and cook till it is tender.
Add salt and green pepper. Mix well and let it cook till
pepper is al dente. Add cream. Garnish with ginger and coriander. Serve with chapattis.
